Tales of a shopping queen

i think my friend used this subject for an email 3.5 yrs ago, which sparked off a long-lasting email correspondence between friends. =)

yesterday was ladies' nite at metro paragon. went w my sister cos we haven't been spending quality time (aka SHOPPING) together. So at abt 5pm, we went to metro n checked out everything that we wanted to buy, n made sure we knew where all the freebies were. =P the SK-II counter was so far away from the rest that we decided to juz go for the other freebies instead, although the SK-II was prob worth more. Then at 6 pm we started to queue outside the shop to await entry.

there was a pompous plump woman who was ranting abt this n that. so this kind woman offered to give her the mailer so that she could enter the sale. but the "kind" woman had TWO mailers posted to her (my sis saw the name n add on the mailers). not fair. hmmph.

so u can imagine what it was like - typical crowd of aunties w their daughters. and when people wanted to try n jump queue, the pompous woman told them off n these people were so paiseh that they went to queue. =P

anyway, there was a tremendous queue at SK-II!!!! so we din wanna join the crowd and decided to be content w what we had, namely:

• mont blanc vial
• loreal hydrafresh eye gel
• tommy hilfiger skin lotion
• ettusais bodycare set

then we went to buy what we had in mind. and we spent $100 on:

• loreal products - $60 (so that i can redeem a free bag which prob saves me $20 from going somewhere else to buy a new bag)
• Chomel hair accessories - approx. $20 (very nice!!! i love the butterfly clip! although my sis kind of preferred the flower one. we asked for a third opinion - the salesgirl and she was so funny! she said flower cos she LOVES flowers which we should have known cos she had a flower clip in her hair. =P)
• my typical buy at sales - $16
• a sleeveless top - $13 (cos: [1] to top up to $100 so that can get more metro points. [2] cos i prob need some new tops.)

so we spent the most amt of money we had ever spent in 1 shopping trip and it was really fun except that the stupid cashier (2 of them working together some more) got the items mixed up and overcharged me for 1 item, and didn't charge me for another and this mistake was spotted by the loreal counter lady who wouldn't let me claim the bag cos technically i hadn't spent $60 on the products yet. GRRR... so had to go back n explain...

anyway, now no mood to study. =P so many ppl had their last exams yesterday! but the rain is much lighter now... gtg sch n zap stuff... last paper on mon! WOOHOO!!!
